Watch Them Die
Watch Them Die is a metal/thrash/punk band out of the east bay and these guys are the shit. Their self titled cd is out on Century Media Records www.centurymedia.com. I first listened to this cd in my car stuck in traffic and it made me want to smash my way out of traffic and destroy the world. I would describe the sound to be like Pantara/Dystopia/The Haunted mixed in a blender and then poured out to infect everything that it comes in contact with. With members from Ojo Rojo, El Dopa, and Grimple you know it’s going to be good. BullDog Skates Shogo Kubo Model
Bulldog Skates has sent over the Shogo Kubo model for a test drive. When I first saw this deck I was stoked because I haven’t ridden a deck like this in 25 years. This isn't your kid’s board with a width of 10.5 X 31 and it’s flat. This board was cut from the original 1979 Shogo Kubo Airbeam including wheels wells. I thought this board was a collector’s piece more than an everyday board but I see Kyle Foote just killing it on this model in pools and the local parks. I cruised it around in some pools and had fun. If your looking for a classic old school shape and graphics than this ones for you , strong board , good company. Iron Fist Productions video Phobia just came in and if you’re into pool skating and want to trip out on tons of pools than this is the one for you. It starts out a little slow but when the skating kicks in its bitchen. Sessions in this video are from everywhere including Howard Johnson’s , Basic Bowl, Vans, Wilderness Bowl, Endless pools in Vegas and every where else, full pipes, skateparks etc. There’s a cool slide show of tons of pools with some video thrown in-between . The sound track ranges from punk to metal to rock and roll and the skaters include Daily Dave, Jake Piasecki, Dave Reul, Salba Frank Atwater, Ricky Styles, Floyd, Dave Clark, Omar Hassan, and Julien Stranger just to name a few.
